Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993 and director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of the memory of children as eyewitnesses and the use of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and has received many national and international prizes. She has been a consultant to numerous government agencies and governments across the world regarding policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She was the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
